Reflections-History Project
1. What did you learn from working on this project?
- I learnt that as a group, we should split up the work so that we can finish earlier and have more time to edit the slides. I learnt that we should work as a group share the burden, eg, taking turns to present. I also learnt that there are many types of literature in Ancient India.
2. What can be improved about the way the project was carried out?
- We should all research and not only leave the researching to the researchers. We should be more clear in our explanation while presenting and should spend more time on the model and make it as realistic as possible.

Reflections-Religions & Philosophies
1. In a country like Singapore which is multi-religious, what are the possible challanges we might face?
- As it is a multi-religious country and do not have a fixed religion, there might be religious riots as people from different religious might force others to be part of his or her religions. Also, children might be forced to follow their parents religions and as a result, there might be quarrels between families.
2. How can we overcome these challanges?
- People should learn not to force one into a religion as everyone's point of view are different. Everyone should have the right to choose which religion they want to be a part of.

-What were the similarities between the government & society of the 3 ancient civilisations?
-All of the 3 civilisations had class systems.
-All of them had governments, occupations and writing systems.
-All of the 3 civilisations had kings and rulers to rule the country.
-All of them had divine kingship or mandate of heaven.
-What were the differences between he government & society of the 3 ancient civilisations?
-The Indus Valley Civilisation had centralised rule while the Shang Civilisation and the Southeast Asia Civilisation does not.
-The way they control and rule their country are different.
-The class system in India was rigid and pure while the class system in China and Southeast Asia was flexible. The rigid class system in India causes the people in the past to have limited choices of jobs as they have to follow their parents' footsteps. In China, they had the Imperial Civil Service Examinations which gives people an equal and fair chance.
-How similar or different are their systems with Singapore's?
-They had kings to rule the country while we have a president to control the country.
-We do not have class system which they have. We have the choice to choose which job we would want to do in the future.

Indus Valley Civilisation (Reflections)
The Indus Valley is a well-planned city with an efficient government. It provided shelters against foreign enemies. It is also one of the first complex drainage system. The drainage system enables the people living at the Indus Valley to get rid of waste materials and get water supply. The drainage is big enough for a person to enter so that it would not obstruct the drainage system. It also had a cannery to store food for future consumption.
The people at the Indus Valley had different occupations. It includes priests, craftmen, farmers and traders. The priest carries out religious rituals and is well respected. The craftmen creates pottery and bronze tools, eg. weapons. Farmers produces food for consumption. The annual flood enables farmers to grow their crops withour inrrigation. Traders sell as well as purchase products from other regions.
The seals found indicated that the people at the Indus Valley had uniform writing system and they used seals for trading.
